Introduction – What is AIIMS NORCET?
The NORCET examination is conducted in two stages:
- Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)
- Stage II – Mains Examination (Merit Based)
Candidates who successfully clear both stages become eligible for Nursing Officer recruitment in multiple AIIMS institutes across India.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:
Option 1
- B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.) / B.Sc. Nursing from an INC or State Nursing Council recognized institute or university
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council
Option 2
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute/university
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council
Option 3
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM)
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a 50-bedded hospital after registration
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories as per Government of India norms.
